Many of us fake it until we make it! Fake what? Confidence. Happiness. Contentment. It's time to stop pretending. Let's talk about where real confidence comes from.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Confidence is a tricky word.
Most of us claim to have it. Yet, do we really? How stable is our belief in ourselves?
What makes you feel confident? What makes you question it?
For me, I have honestly been struggling with my self-perception. I have been angry and comparing myself to someone else over a boy. However, during this time, God has been there for me by stripping off all bitterness, envy, and destructive patterns that I didn't even realize I had. One way he did this is through a scripture in the Book of Ephesians.
Ephesians Chapter 1 verse 4 says, "Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes." (NLT)
After only being able to see what is wrong with me and beating myself up for schoolwork, my job, my social life, the way things are going with this boy, and the list goes on, God reminded me of the way he sees me. Now, I wish to share that with you.
You, who are in Christ Jesus, are holy and without fault in his eyes.
The Lord of All thinks so highly of you, even if you or others don't recognize yourself with the same standard, and his thoughts towards you are not fickle, weak, or changing.
GOD THINKS POSITIVELY ABOUT YOU!
This is where confidence should stem from, not from circumstances or achievements nor people, rather, from choosing to see yourself as God does.
Then, letting that knowledge inspire you to trust in the Holy Spirit and give your best in following God with wisdom in everything you do, in every area of life.
As a result, the healthy/biblical version of the things you were chasing after to give you confidence like success or affirmation or love will come as a product of building your confidence and trust in who God is and who he claims you to be in Him in it's due time.
Remember,
YOU ARE VALUED BY GOD
YOU ARE HOLY
YOU ARE WITHOUT FAULT IN HIS EYES
I look forward to growing in my 'Godfidence' with you.
With all my sincerity,
Your Sister in Christ

I appreciate the fact that you open this path form for women. Often times I struggle with confidence, as a wife and mother the question is always , am I doing my best? However, God reminded me in proverbs 3:5-6 ”Trust in the Lord with all thine heart ; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
