What if where our image brand ends, our identity begins?

Dear Current You,

Your worth is not in anything else but God. He loves, created, and longs for you. You do not have to equate yourself to others evaluations or your accomplishment/failures. Those are always changing but God's elated view of you will not, and from that, you can give your best to everything you do without letting it measure your internal value. (You can read my journey with this below)

Today, God wants to adopt you into his family. If you are willing to humble yourself by releasing your view of life and of yourself for his, repeat after me:

"Lord, I believe you sent your son, Jesus Christ, to earth to live, die, and rise from the grave on the 3rd day for me. I accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and I wish to live for you. Holy Spirit, come into my heart, help me to get to know who you are God and who I am as your child. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Sincerely, The Found You

Part 1:

The skin on my wrists moves out the way,

my flesh exposed, rubbing against the knot.

Twisting and turning, my hands claw each other for freedom,

to be loose from each other.

Hopelessness is my saliva, drunken regularly, naturally.

Yet, the display says otherwise.

I stand with sun beams for teeth,

clothes that provoke longing eyes,

happy people surrounding me.

The rope is just part of the style, you surmise.

Part 2:

On the shelf, the box is pink,

the decor fitting for a toy:

Flowers strung together by a long stem in purple ink,

glitter dominating the exterior for orbs to enjoy.

In there is a doll with bound hands.

Sun beams for teeth,

clothes that reaps fans,

customers gawking over its features.

In there is me, smiling while my pain demands

repair.

Part 3:

Watched as I am tied.

Desired and admired by many while never feeling more artificial;

My pride has left me gleaming with perfection,

my attempt to be God has given

me everything I ever wanted but nothing;

Only humility can set me free.

Lord, teach me humility so that I may be free.
